DIRECTIONS

  Arriving by Road

The main road to Ilkley is the A65. Whether approaching from the east or west, the simplest route is to turn off the A65 at the Crescent Hotel traffic lights.

Turn uphill (following local signs to Ilkley Moor) into Brook Street. This has a number of chain stores (Boots, Woolworths etc) and a zebra crossing towards the top. At the top of Brook Street you will see an HSBC bank and Dacre Son & Hartley estate agents on the opposite side of the junction. Turn left and then immediately right between these two buildings into Wells Road.

Go up Wells Road passing the Rombalds Hotel on the left hand side and soon after, a cattle grid. Crossing this brings you to the moorside. Carry on (admiring the beautiful scenery by now!) to a second cattle grid by Westwood Lodge. You are nearly there now!

Cross the cattle grid and carry on uphill and straight on into Westwood Drive. Don’t turn downhill at the junction with Queens Road. About a quarter of a mile up the hill you will come to Westwood Rise on the left hand side.

Number 17 is up in the top left hand corner of the cul de sac. At night, drive lights will guide you in. The drive lights to the left belong to our house.

Your parking place is on the right hand side of the house, under the self-catering accommodation sign.
